Abra, this is indeed very clever and very, as they say, true. But I think there's a problem here with potential imminence and immutable inevitability. The consideration of imminence is likely to induce frazzled panic day by day, whereas the acknowledgement of inevitability is more likely to lead to a more stoical serenity. The probability of of dying on any particular day is very small; the certainty is that we will die one day. The trick is to recognise that, though we survive the day, it doesn't change our chance of escaping death. The calm recognition of that should inform everything we do while we are lucky enough to live.
Which, now I come to re-read it, is exactly what you were saying.

I enjoy reading about your thoughts and feelings about your beloved gf. It's heart rending yet funny at times.. and reading your blog really reminds one to cherish our loved ones who are still around..have a good week ahead.
